Joanne Keeps up to date with the ever changing design and manufacturing field by attending user group seminars and reading technical papers. Her skills include Printed Circuit Board Layout of Analog/Digital, Power Supply and Backplane designs specializing in DFM, ATE and UL requirements. Joanne has thorough knowledge of several CAD systems including, Mentor Graphics Expedition, Protel, Power PCB, Cadstar and Visula.

Currently engaged in multiple PCB layout projects for the RAID Storage Industry as well as other projects. These projects include Backplane boards, CPU motherboards, Power Supplies, etc. Joanne is also responsible for training other staff members on CAD tools and PCB layout.
March 1997 to June 2004 Silicon Image – CMD Storage Division Irvine, CA Senior PCB Designer
Developed double sided, surface mount, multi layer, and high-density circuit boards for the RAID storage industry. Instrumentally involved with the engineers to design with leading edge technology, which involved circuits of multiple controlled impedances, high-speed fibre channel and Serial ATA signals. This required careful calculations for routing, power distribution and planning for an optimum board stackup. This senior Designer position consisting of printed circuit board layout of high density, multi-layer mixed technology and ultra fine line technology utilizing Zuken - Redac (Visula) and PADS software. Specializing in fiber-optic/ATM designs with controlled impedance and critical placement and routing. She received certifications in Advanced Route Editor and System Administrator in SunOS.

Provided technical assistance to engineering personnel using PADS-Logic and PADS-PCB. Created custom libraries of analog components for SMT and Thru-hole technologies. Helped introduce a Drafting Room Procedure for creating and maintaining their Parts Library. Performed Printed Circuit Board Layout using Cadstar and PADS software.
